Schizoid Five-Factor Model (S5F) Assessment

The S5F Assessment is a comprehensive dimensional instrument designed to identify and differentiate schizoid personality patterns. Unlike simple screening tools, this assessment captures the internal heterogeneity within the schizoid population, revealing the different "flavors" or subtypes that exist under this common umbrella.

Five Core Domains

Hedonic Attenuation (HA)

Diminished capacity to experience pleasure and reduced motivational pull of rewards

Interpersonal Detachment (ID)

Reduced desire for, investment in, and engagement with interpersonal relationships

Affective Restriction (AR)

Narrowed range of emotional experience and expression

Inward Orientation (IO)

Preferential engagement with the internal world of thought, fantasy, and imagination

Self-World Relationship (SWR)

Distinctive stance toward one's own existence, identity, and relationship to the social world

Test Format

The assessment consists of 168 statements rated on a seven-point scale from "Strongly Disagree" to "Strongly Agree". It includes 145 items measuring the five core schizoid domains, plus 23 discriminant validity items to help differentiate schizoid patterns from avoidant personality, autism spectrum, and depression. Most participants complete the test in 20-30 minutes.

What You Will Learn

Upon completion, you will receive:

  • Domain Profile: Your scores across all five schizoid domains and their facets
  • Severity Classification: Where you fall on the continuum from subclinical to severe
  • Subtype Suggestion: Which schizoid subtype best describes your profile
  • Differential Indicators: How your pattern compares to avoidant, autistic, and depressive presentations
Important Information

This assessment is designed for research and self-understanding purposes. It is not a diagnostic tool and should not be used as a substitute for professional evaluation. Please approach the questions honestly, reflecting on your typical patterns of experience and behavior rather than temporary states. Upon completion, you will receive a unique URL to bookmark and revisit your results.
